Day 1 – Nairobi to Masai Mara
You’ll be picked up early in the morning from Nairobi Airport or your hotel. After a short introduction by one of our representatives, your journey begins. The route takes you through the central highlands, passing tea plantations, and descends to the floor of the Great Rift Valley. A short stop will be made at a viewpoint for photos, where you can observe features such as Mount Longonot. You’ll continue on to Masai Mara, arriving in time for lunch and check-in at your selected lodge or tented camp. In the afternoon, head out for a wildlife viewing session across the savannah, returning by early evening for dinner and overnight.
Day 2 – Masai Mara
After breakfast, you’ll head out for a full-day wildlife viewing drive with a picnic lunch. Masai Mara remains a popular destination year-round, with its vast open plains supporting a large population of animals. You’ll have the opportunity to see lions, elephants, rhinos, leopards, hyenas, buffaloes, antelopes, baboons, and many bird species. On some days, four of the Big Five may be spotted within a few hours. Between July and October, the area draws thousands of zebras, wildebeest, and other grazers during their seasonal movement. A visit to a nearby Masai village can be arranged for a small fee, offering insight into local culture. You’ll return to your lodge or camp in the evening for dinner and overnight. Optionally, you can book a hot air balloon ride with a bush breakfast at an extra charge, followed by a full day in the reserve.
Day 3 – Masai Mara to Lake Nakuru
After breakfast, check out and drive toward Lake Nakuru National Park, located at the base of the Great Rift Valley. You’ll arrive in time for lunch and check-in at your lodge or camp. Lake Nakuru is known for its populations of lesser and greater flamingos, as well as other wildlife. The park is also rich in bird species, with more than 400 types recorded across its 188 square kilometers. Later in the afternoon, enjoy a wildlife drive through the park. If lucky, you may see lions, leopards, buffaloes, and rhinos, four of the Big Five, alongside other animals.
Day 4 – Lake Nakuru to Amboseli National Park
After breakfast, check out and begin the drive to Amboseli National Park. The journey takes you through a number of rural towns and villages. Upon arrival, you’ll check in and have lunch. The park is known for its large elephant herds and clear views of Mount Kilimanjaro. In the afternoon, you’ll explore the park on a wildlife viewing drive, returning to your tented camp or lodge by evening for dinner and overnight.
Day 5 – Amboseli National Park
Begin your day with an early morning game drive. Mid-morning, return to your camp for breakfast, followed by free time and lunch. Later in the afternoon, set out again for another round of wildlife viewing. You’ll return to the lodge or camp for dinner and overnight. If you prefer, a full-day drive with a packed lunch can be arranged. Sightings may include big cats, buffaloes, elephants, rhinos, and a variety of birdlife.
Day 6 – Amboseli to Tsavo West National Park
After breakfast, check out and depart for Tsavo West. This park is located in a dry, open landscape and is home to many animals including elephants, rhinos, and buffaloes. You’ll arrive at your lodge or camp in time to check in and have lunch. Later in the day, you’ll head out for a wildlife viewing drive before returning to your accommodation in the evening for dinner and overnight.
Day 7 – Tsavo West to Tsavo East
After breakfast and check-out, the trip continues to Tsavo East. On the way, you’ll stop at Mzima Springs for a short walk and the chance to view this freshwater source in an otherwise dry area. Continue to Tsavo East, where you’ll check in and have lunch. In the afternoon, you’ll go on a wildlife drive before heading back to your lodge or camp for dinner and overnight.
Day 8 – Tsavo East to Nairobi
Start your day with breakfast and check-out. You’ll travel back to Nairobi with a final game drive on your way out of the park. The trip includes a few short stops before arriving in the city in the afternoon. Lunch will be arranged independently. You’ll then be transferred to your hotel or the airport for your outbound international flight.
