Day 1 – Nairobi to Masai Mara
You’ll be picked up early in the morning from your hotel or the airport in Nairobi. After a short introduction from one of our representatives, the trip begins. The drive takes you through the central highlands, where you’ll pass tea plantations, and continues down to the floor of the Great Rift Valley. A brief stop will be made at a scenic viewpoint for photos, where you can observe features such as Mount Longonot. The journey continues, and you’ll arrive at your camp or lodge in Masai Mara in time for check-in and lunch. In the afternoon, you’ll head out for a wildlife viewing session, returning in the early evening for dinner and an overnight stay at your tented camp or lodge.
Day 2 – Masai Mara
After breakfast, you’ll spend the entire day exploring the wide plains of Masai Mara with a picnic lunch. This reserve is known for its open grasslands and dense wildlife populations. You’ll have opportunities to spot lions, elephants, rhinos, leopards, hyenas, buffaloes, antelopes, baboons, and a range of bird species. On some occasions, it’s possible to see several of the Big Five in just a few hours. Between July and October, large herds of wildebeest, zebras, and other grazers move through the region. A cultural visit to a Masai village may be arranged for a small extra cost, this offers insight into the daily life of the local community. In the evening, return to your camp for dinner and overnight. If you prefer, you can book a balloon ride with a bush breakfast at an additional cost, followed by a full day out in the reserve.
Day 3 – Masai Mara to Lake Nakuru
After breakfast, you’ll leave Masai Mara and travel to Lake Nakuru National Park, located at the base of the Great Rift Valley. Arrival will be in time for check-in and lunch. Lake Nakuru is known for attracting both lesser and greater flamingos, along with various other animals. The park supports over 400 bird species within its 188 square kilometers. In the afternoon, you’ll explore the park during a wildlife drive. With good fortune, you may come across lions, leopards, buffaloes, and rhinos, four of the Big Five, along with a range of other species.
Day 4 – Lake Nakuru to Amboseli
Following breakfast and check-out, your trip continues toward Amboseli National Park. The route passes through smaller towns and rural settlements. Arrival at Amboseli will be in time for check-in and lunch. This park is known for its elephant population and open view of Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s tallest mountain. In the afternoon, you’ll set out for another wildlife drive, returning in the early evening to your lodge or tented camp for dinner and overnight.
Day 5 – Amboseli
Begin the day with an early morning drive through the park to search for wildlife. Return to your accommodation by mid-morning for breakfast, followed by some downtime and lunch. In the afternoon, you’ll head out again for more wildlife viewing, finishing the day back at your tented camp or lodge for dinner and overnight. Depending on your preference, you may also choose to spend the full day in the park with a picnic lunch.
Day 6 – Amboseli to Nairobi
The day starts with an early morning game drive. You’ll return to your lodge by mid-morning for breakfast and to check out. Afterwards, the drive back to Nairobi begins, with a few stops along the route. You’ll arrive in the afternoon. Lunch will be arranged on your own before your transfer to the hotel or the airport for your international departure.
