Day 1 – Nairobi to Lake Nakuru National Park
You’ll be collected in the morning from your Nairobi hotel or the airport. Following a short introduction by one of our staff, the drive begins. The route passes through the central highlands, where tea plantations are visible, and descends to the floor of the Great Rift Valley. A stop will be made at a scenic viewpoint for photos, with sights such as Mount Longonot in the distance. You’ll continue onward and arrive at your lodge in time for check-in and lunch. Lake Nakuru is known for hosting both lesser and greater flamingos, along with a diverse range of animals. This park is a birdwatcher’s haven, home to over 400 bird species spread across 188 square kilometers. After lunch, you’ll go on an afternoon wildlife drive. With some good luck, you might see four out of the five most notable animals: lions, leopards, buffaloes, and rhinos.
Day 2 – Lake Nakuru to Nairobi
The day starts with an early morning drive through the park to observe animals in their natural surroundings. Afterward, you’ll return to the lodge for breakfast and check-out. The trip back to Nairobi begins, with a few short stops along the way. Arrival in the city is expected in the afternoon. Lunch will be at your own arrangement before heading to the airport for your international departure.
